SAP

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Led the modernization of the multimedia and communication technology for 18,000 buildings. Managed and built internal business intelligence tools.
I studied 2D/3D Animation at one of the U.S.’s top animation programs. There, I fundraised to launch the National University of Samoa’s digital art lab, and authored grants to send a professor and cohort of students to train Samoans in the latest animation techniques and technologies.
My first job out of college was for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where I spearheaded the transition from satellite to internet-based broadcasts, expanding from four to 100+ realtime languages, upgrading to HD definition, and reaching previously underserved areas throughout the world.
Fortuitously, I transferred to the Enterprise Information Management portfolio, where I developed my deep passion for all things data. While there, I increased Net Promoter Score by 24.5 points by implementing in-product surveys, launching a self-service access request & training portal, hosting weekly onboarding/training sessions, and directly following up with every single detractor. I also designed and launched a cloud-based dashboard & scorecard platform, aligning efforts across 30+ departments to consistent cascading key performance indicators.
After graduating with my MBA from Duke, I was selected to join SAP’s CEO-sponsored global executive development program.
I was lucky enough to be part of the initial team that designed and launched the cloud-native predictive, planning, and BI cloud platform for the world’s largest analytics software vendor, growing from zero to 4,000+ paid customers and $100M+ ARR. Apart from leading data visualization (40% of all customer requirements), I also ended up leading all keynote and showroom floor content across all major events for our product.
I hands-on built solutions for 45+ customers, including helping the San Francisco 49ers design and build their “Executive Huddle” stadium analytics. My high level of customer engagement resulted in my being awarded “SAP Sales Champion” for North America.
After SAP, I joined Splunk, where I led the creation of their new cloud-native platform experience, cutting their 8-week delivery cycle to daily.
I also fully redesigned Splunk’s core search tool, increasing ease of end-user adoption by 87% and time-to-insight by 72% through a bi-directional point-and-click interface for unstructured data (that led to my being awarded five patents).
Most recently, my role has expanded to include Splunk’s data processing product portfolio. We’ve doubled usage to 1,000+ customers within a year by implementing a cross-functional customer success program that aligns efforts to a single adoption funnel, and rapidly adapting to customer needs through telemetry feedback loops.
I’ve helped numerous pre-seed to late-stage companies refine their branding and product strategies, often creating concept videos of the final product prior to writing a single line of code. As (above) example, I co-founded and designed AskInternets, which reached #16 new social app in the Android marketplace, with thousands of active users on a shoestring budget.
ln my spare time, I like to help cats run for Senate. (Hank came in 3rd place and raised over $60k for animal rescue orgs.)
I also love taking photos, with my work having been used in various print and online publications.
Random Fact: I volunteered in Samoa (2004-2006), becoming fluent in the language and authoring a Samoan textbook. I now return every few years to capture the oral history of those living there.
During COVID-19, I helped missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints transition from in-person to online contacting, training their missionary training center and over 30+ international locations in how to rapidly create high-quality content. I also personally directed, filmed, and produced original content generating over one million views.
