The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Led the modernization of the multimedia and communication technology for 18,000 buildings. Managed and built internal business intelligence tools.
I designed and launched Splunk’s cloud-native logs and metrics query tool for unstructured batch and stream data, increasing ease of end-user adoption by 87% and time-to-insight by 72%. It also point-and-click pipeline query engine for Splunk Edge Processor and Data Processor.
Seldom do I get to talk about my customer work, but I had the wonderful opportunity to help the San Francisco 49ers design and build their “Executive Huddle” stadium analytics. I’m not featured in the video, but that’s much of my work on the displays!
I was selected to participate in SAP’s CEO-sponsored executive development program, working in multiple international locations while learning about various aspects of the business.
I’ve been lucky enough to help create keynote content for audiences ranging from 50-20,000+.
I co-founded and designed AskInternets, which reached #16 new social app in the Android marketplace.
I still draw, whenever I have the time!
I’m a trained photographer, often shooting engagement, wedding, and lifestyle photos. My photos have been used in various print and online publications.
l once helped a cat run for Senate. (He came in 3rd place and raised over $60k for animal rescue orgs.)
I love to go the extra mile. Just for fun, I designed some analytics valentines using only SAP Analytics Cloud, which ended up being one of SAP’s top social media posts of the year.
I volunteered in Samoa (2004-2006), becoming fluent in the language and authoring a Samoan textbook. I now return every few years to capture the oral history of those living there.
Many congregations of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints used to wait up to six weeks to watch global broadcasts due to limited access to satellite technology. I led our transition to internet-based communications, improving the reach and video quality of broadcasts in the process.
As missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints transitioned from in-person to online contacting, trained our missionary training center and over 30+ international locations in how to rapidly create high-quality content. I also personally directed, filmed, and produced original content generating over one million views.
In college, I fundraised to launch the National University of Samoa’s digital art lab, and authored grants to send a professor and cohort of students to train Samoans in the latest animation techniques and technologies.
